The Finger Wharf or Woolloomooloo Wharf is one of Sydney's iconic locations. The building structure is the largest timbered-piled building in the world. The fashionable complex houses a hotel, some of Sydney's finest restaurants including Akis, China Doll, Manta, Otto and Kingsleys as well as commercial offices and 5-star residential apartments.
The wharf was built by the Sydney Harbour Trust between 1911 and 1915. Today, the redeveloped heritage site is comprised of two side sheds running almost the length of the jetty, connected by a covered public accessway above which three parallel gable roofs provide a unique and rustic feel to the wonderful location.
